I absolutely rate him, but not for that much on a 6 month loan. Personally I think we should be getting a midfielder and a winger in. Maybe a striker on loan would be good too, but one who won’t require such a huge investment.

Honestly, can’t blame Felix, it is what it is. On to the next one, I trust we have multiple targets.

 

I think at the end of the day most people don’t give a fuck. When I’m looking for a job, as much as I say to recruiters that I’m looking for an exciting place to work. I’ll always fall back on the best pay/benefits. It’d be the same for most footballers too. Then you also have to add in football form and projects are transient. Teams can collectively lose form and the “project” falls apart in 12 months. Like shit United (not the best example at all) were an absolute poisoned chalice 6/8 months ago. Now we look like we’re finally back on the road upwards, ownership uncertainty notwithstanding. Chelsea themselves coming off a Champions League win and potential title challenge a couple of years ago. Basically, I don’t blame him for moving. His relationship at Atleti is at an all time low and Chelsea are the only team foolish or otherwise to offer him a quick painless way out.

I think he’s good, but wasn’t worth the money Atleti paid at the time, not worth the wages they gave him and not worth breaking the bank for at the moment. We would use him, but I don’t think we would think of him as a long term option and I believe Arsenal are the same. If either us or ye bought him we would be moving him on in a couple of summers

It is weird that Chelsea keep going for these almost, but not really, strikers Havertz, Auba, Felix, Nkunku in the summer. Wonder what their plan actually is. You’d have to assume they have no interest in signing Felix long term, or they’re going to move Havertz on. God knows who would be interested in him though. I wonder if they will even go for a #9 in the summer.
