What a fucking fun show. Now I just need some HOB on one of the remaining dark matches

Yeah that was filmed a good while back judging by her look. The timing was certainly interesting for it to air this week.

 

Pretty much. The tag match will be fun and I love OC. However the feud with OC/Sabian sucks and what has Sky Blue done to deserve a shot against Jade who just killed her? Lol The Rampage card is also super weak besides the tag match. For a live Rampage in front of a super hungry Portland crowd the card is full of squashes. AEW has an insane roster and it’s crazy that quite a few people hardly get TV time while they have these meaningless squashes. It’s like a RAW from 1995 lol

 

Hell yeah Darby! That rules. I love his character so much.

 

Sucks they had to spend 6 months to reset the TNT title, but, this is a hopeful step. And perfect use of the crowd energy

Does dark always have a bunch of locals jobbing out to aew talent and I just never noticed cause I don’t know other locals and generally don’t watch dark? Cause most of these matches have had local guys in them

 

They normally do, but that’s also probably part because AEW/DEFY have a good relationship. One of the first indies to book Mox, a lot of AEW talent is on DEFY shows and quite a few DEFY alums in AEW.

 

makes sense. Will definitely be interesting to see who you get on Friday. Imagine a lot of the same faces but hopefully some others get a moment to shine too

 

How many Dark matches did you get total? Just the 3? Wondering what to expect on Friday.

 

No there were like ten of them I'm assuming it was whole Dark: Elevation card and then Portland will get all of Dark?

Midnight Heat vs Eddie Kingston and Ortiz (really hope the "fuck you ricky" chants are gonna be audible. Testament to how good those guys are at making people hate them that they got booed like that whereas all the other local peeps even Swerve got cheers)
Bandido vs Christopher Daniels
Best Friends (and Danhausen) vs some team I didn't recognize that was kinda like the Ascension?

So like, Bollywood Boys, Schaff, Danika (and I assume the person she was with), Viva, C4, Sonico and Midnight Heat are all pnwers as far as I'm aware. Daniels has also done a lot of work with Defy too

Looked up the other guys. Tiny dude Hobbs smashed was Vinny Pacifo who has done some stuff with WAC and DOA though doesn't appear to have been a regular in either place and most of his stuff has been outside the PNW. Guy with Claudio was Josh Woods. Best friends match was against Luther and Serpentico I guess I just haven't watched Rampage in a while so didn't know they were even a thing.

New Years Dash was awesome

 

That Seattle crowd deserves a freaking medal from AEW. Made them look like the hottest product in the business right now.

If they couldn’t 100% lock down Mercedes for the match then it was terrible booking to announce it so far in advance
