Anyone have a suggestion for a vinyl cleaner? Everything I own is clean, just want to clear the dust/cat hair etc. I'm also in the market for an interesting slipmat.

I have a standard record cleaning kit that includes a brush and fluid. Mine was pretty cheap and have had it for a while. My dad got it for me bc it was basically what he used for his player and records. Doing a quick Amazon search, that still seems like the current cleaning method, but it seems a little more expensive now.

When my uncle passed away, i found out he was a huge audiophile. His family knew i was into records and passed on some amazing hifi pressings of the Beatles, Bowie, Pink Floyd, etc.

Along with all of the records they gave me the discwasher brush and an "anti-static gun". As gimmicky as the gun looks, it really does work!

if the warping on your record takes a "bowled" shape, weights can definitely help the chance of it playing without sliding around on the platter. side B of my copy of Spiritbox's self-titled EP can only play when i have a weight down.

I would say for me it's more of a, too cheap to not try it and use it. I can't tell you I can hear a difference, but it's supposed to make it track more evenly. I also recommend a scale that measures your tracking force, just for the peace of mind.

I'm surprised we didn't get a 20th anniversary pressing this past year.

Hoping DTR/PGR come through for the masses and represses this one when/if they start announcing full lengths. Since this album would be a no brainer to repress!

The cover is mega pixelated. Also the center labels say "What IS it to Burn". Not the best QC when it came out.

Hopefully we can get a definitive repress. Throw "Worms of the Earth" on it as well for good measure!

I use the stylus cleaner every now and then. My needle/cart can get pretty dusty sometimes.

My big ones for '23 are NFG's Catalyst and pretty much any full-length LPs from the Drive-Thru catalog.
