Last night on his discord Dom announced he'll be releasing 3 EPs, a mixtape, and an album this year

 

Let's fucking gooooooo. Bummed to still see beef between him and Kevin though. I thought it was cleared up for whatever reason, but clearly not.

Anyways, both albums still rule, been listening to TM a lot

 

Dom was always the one I thought would break out of the group so looking forward to his solo stuff

 

What did he say about Kevin?

 

Also they posted what seems like teasers of a Jabari album. Doesn't... sound great lol

 

Kevin posted a Christmas special and wrote a bit about the making of it and Dom tweeted something to the effect of “wow, being written out of the story hurts.”

 

Yeah, to elaborate, Kevin implied that it was made when most of the guys went home and Dom responded by saying he was also around but not asked to participate, and then Kevin tweeted "Here comes the drama"

 

Dom's shit is about to be 100x better than goshpixie

 

I love Kevin but hate how much of a drama magnet he is, the amount of times I've rolled my eyes at his behavior lmao

 

Dude loves to play into it too instead of just letting it blow over. So frustrating.

 

My sister paid someone god knows how much and got me the GINGER vinyl for Christmas

This sounds so faceless and that’s the worst part.

 

I never really liked Jabari's contributions once he started being a vocalist in the group anyway. He's a good producer but his voice is sooo processed that it might as well be AI

The hook of Old News is good but that's about it

 

Yeah, I was never big on Jabari either.

 

NST and Old News were his best contributions. Also really liked Duct Tape

 

"New Shoes" hook is solid too

 

Wish the hook was a little bigger but tbh I like the vibe

 

I'm into it, looking forward to hearing his album.

 

Sounds nice but yeah, missing something. It's alright!

 

Yeah it's fine, I'd be surprised if he gets a big solo career going tbh

 

Sorry to bump with no news, but I have been thinking now that the dust has settled, I much much prefer The Family to TM.

I probably bump The Family 1-2 times a month and I haven't listened to TM all the way through since the week is came out. It does unfortunately sound like a bunch of loosies and while some of them are great, it settles in the melancholy in the back half a little too long for me to revisit often.

The stretch from tracks 1-5 on The Family however is one of the hottest Brockhampton streaks in their entire discography, imo.

 

Yeah The Family easily blows away TM. I miss this band
