I'm just tired of seeing Finn with the title lol

 

Was thinking the same exact thing. Though I also have assumed Balor Club will debut with Finn out of his Demon persona. Did he ever do the body paint stuff while he was in the Bullet Club?

 

Finn's title run has been a bore

 

Finish was lame and I'm a disappointed that Finn still has the title. Still, fantastic show overall, met most of my crazy expectations.

 

Really good show. I wish Joe had looked a bit better, though (in kayfabe).

 

I'm gonna rematch that Nakamura match

 

Yeah lameduck ending. Wanted at least something substantial storyline wise to happen. I'm so bored of babyface Finn as champ. Since he's become champion i haven't been nearly as emotionally invested in NXT as I used to be. Turn him heel or take the title off him.

On the otherhand I do understand the need to keep him babyface and keep him in NXT. Especially with Sami leaving they need a top face that can carry the brand, and nobody else on the roster right now can fill that role, the closest they have is Apollo and I don't think he'll be ready for that for another 6 months to a year.

 

Guess he will debut with Balor club on raw with the belt like KO did and lose it at the summer takeover event

 

Show was great from top to bottom (what happened to the Crews match?), and I don't know if anything from WM will top it from a purely in-ring perspective, but this definitely isn't going to be a Brooklyn scenario where the NXT show completely overshadows the main event. And yes, it's Mania, so that's pretty much impossible, but I see Mania being a better show/experience, even with such a weird card

Now i'm under the assumption that " Balor Club" won't be the " 'Balor' Club" but it will center around a heel AJ.

Yeah, this was a good PVP, but I wouldn't even say it's the best Takeover. Some of the finishes brought down the matches, blood stoppages ruined the pacing in Joe/Balor.

Fans on reddit are acting like it's the best show ever of course. Saw someone compare Zayn/Nakamura to Flair/Steamboat

At least NXT has the fans' goodwill

 

Top to bottom I enjoyed Brooklyn better, but damn the opener and Zayn/Nakamura was phenomenal

Zayn/Nakamura was great, but it wasn't even the best match either guy has had in the past year. Brooklyn is still the top NXT show for me, I think. That's part bias, cause I was there in person, but being in the bigger arena really made everything that happened there feel so much bigger. I love NXT's minimalistic aesthetic, but I would not be mad at a little bit more production for the TakeOver events.

 

there were only two great matches and unfortunately they were both in the first hour. zayn/nakamura worth price of admission alone though.

 

My guess is that they are waiting for Hideo Itami to return so that he can blame the injury on Bulletproof or Balor Club. That could be Finn's heel turn if Itami is going to be cleared to wrestle again soon.

 

Apparently they're having a sale this weekend, totally grabbing one now.

 

R Evolution is definitely my favorite Takeover. Brooklyn is 2nd.
