looks like a great lineup as usual….it’s a question of whether they will actually have bathrooms, food, shuttles, camping, etc that all goes a long with the rest of it.

 

you can only hope they learned and fix what was wrong

 

You would think they learned after the first year, but they say third time is the charm

 

It’s been going on for six years now

 

I thought the first time was 2021 lol
Well, they must have learned by now then, no excuses

 

Yeah, even at the small festival level there were issues.

 

I heard this year's fest was just as much of a shitshow as last year's, and I'm lowkey glad that Bristol Rhythm and Roots is the same weekend because if I had to choose a VA-adjacent fest to attend that weekend, it'd be one that's got great organization and knows how to treat patrons right.

 

pantera is going to be on every metal-adjacent festival this year i guess

I'm still fucking baffled that Blue Ridge is still around considering how much of a shit show it always seems like it is organizationally and the fact it's like an hour plus from any metropolitan area.

 

After the last two years it is baffling to me, cause those issues are legit safety concerns and create lawsuits. Like straight up charging people for camping, amenities etc and them showing up and not being there, like I have no idea how they have gotten away with that…two years in a row! Not emptying trash or toilets after the fest starts, having like overflowing toilets like all that stuff, the stuff people report from it, it’s insane.

 

Welp, this is a sad way to start the year

I'm assuming starting Tuesday we'll get a bunch of festivals. I know Coachella and Bonnaroo announce in the first half of January.

 

Oh yeah. Coachella always announces right after New Years. We should be getting that any day now

 

As long as Jonathan Slye is still involved behind the scenes of the festival, I don't think I can bring myself to return. In addition to all of the safety concerns and shady practices (screwing contractors out of money, selling too many tickets, etc.), I'm still dealing with a right ankle injury from the 2021 festival. I'll just try to catch a lot of the bands on various tours throughout the year. Hopefully DWP can bring back Epicenter in 2024 to give those of us in the southeast another festival option.

 

Coachella lineup today! I’m expecting this year to be the full pivot to pop. Have a feeling there’s going to be a lot of very highly billed international acts.

Got an ad this morning for the In Between Days Festival here in Massachusetts. Going to be two days this year. August 19 and 20.

Lord Huron, Modest Mouse, Metric, Sunny Day Real Estate, Weakened Friends, Mint Green, and a bunch more on the bill... Can't find the FB ad that popped up anymore so it may have been put up by mistake.

 

Is this confirmed?
