The Road To Wellville. 1994 historical comedy loosely based on the life of John Kellogg and the Battle Creek Sanitarium. Insane cast of Anthony Hopkins, Matthew Broderick, Bridget Fonda, John Cusack, and Dana Carvey. I remember watching it on cable in the 90's but I don't think I have ever heard anyone mention it ever outside of that.

 

I’m old enough where I remember the trailer being played all the time for pay per view and later seeing bits of it on cable… it would take yeeeeaars later I learned the movie was based on the guy who created the cereal

 

Did anyone else always see a random copy of this at the movie rental store growing up? It was never rented out, therefore it doesn’t exist

 

I’m convinced, “Going Overboard,” only exists in cover art form. There is no movie.

Edit: Okay.. only exists in cover art and trailer form. Still no movie.

was never a sandler fan but going overboard has a solid "you're an 8"/"urinate" pun that i found hilarious when i was 7

 

every single part of this cover looks like it was taken from something else / made with N64 graphics holy shit lol

 

definitely watched Going Overboard after seeing Billy Madison, but I don't remember anything about it

 

Is Going Overboard in the same grouping as this other Sandler vehicle I also remember constantly seeing on endcaps at Blockbuster as a kid?

Is that the guy who played Joe in the sewage department on Parks and Rec? What the hell?!?

 

I wonder how many cast and crew were like, “Bulletproof 2? 2?? You sure? None of us have ever heard of Bulletproof, what are we the sequel of? Oh is this a bit? It’s a bit ain’t it.”

 

I liked Bulletproof.

I’d also like to add Rachel Weisz in The Mummy to the potential sexual awaking discussion. Again I was already “awoken” by then but 12 year old me definitely crushed on her a bit in that and in Enemy at the Gates

the Mummy is an incredible work of art and remains so to this day
