Dear journal,

Not only do people like the music I do not like, but people do not like the music I like. Morale is low, supplies are depleted. Our nation is in shambles and completely war torn. I spend so much time thinking about what life would be if things were different, if people liked the music I liked and did not like the music I did not like. The Opinion War feels futile, but I will not surrender. This matters.

Dear journal,

The Houston fall is harsh. Since the loss of General Watt, we live in constant fear. The Knoxville infantry arrives with haste, and although our foes in Jacksonville and Indianapolis have retreated to Britain, we know to expect their arrival due to the essays of Corporal Mentzos. Our allies have shown disdain, refusing to start us in fantasy leagues. Morale is poor though Commander-in-Chief O'Brien is insisting we keep our hope alive. Sgt. Wilfork has consumed all our rations. The south has yet to be won, and we know the battle has just begun. We anticipate Knoxville, though we no longer have Pvt. Mettenberger's selfies to track progress.

Springsteen was far and away the best superbowl halftime show I've seen in my life. And that includes 13 year old me getting a glimpse of Janet Jackson's boob.

 

Side note I'm not big on Springsteen but I do appreciate him
