I am still baffled as to why they went with this best of 7 series in aew. AEW does not have enough tv time for a roster this big and then they throw in a best of 7 series.

Is this doing the tv ratings any favors?

 

Elite/Death Triangle should be on TV every week so I don’t really think that’s a valid reason to not have a best of 7. They are six of the best wrestlers in the world and the Elite had been off TV for a long time. Obviously they wanted to build towards a big finale in LA. Ratings have been pretty good regardless too.

 

Only real criticism about the best of 7 is that they could have introduced stipulations a little bit sooner to keep things feeling a bit fresher.

 

It's boosted lagging live gates, which really was the move.

WWE runs the same match 7 weeks in a row they just don't book it as a best of seven

 

i've been less than stoked on the matches, but doing the matches makes sense from a business standpoint

the trios titles and division as a whole is a bit more baffling to me
