When it comes to singles, I like it more than all the small things and first date.

First Date music video is a big’ol winner though.

 

there's something to be said about his not trying to sing on that song that gives it some merit. It's otherwise pretty not great, just so much of his post WDNTW work is made near unlistenable by all the downright weird vocal choices he makes.
My man, you cannot sing please stop trying so hard

 

The single is still doing incredibly well.

 

It’s just such a fun song, and doesn’t overstay its welcome.

 

I feel like “not as good as their best stuff but it is light and fun” would be pretty solid for a band in their third decade of existence.

Been listening to 2004’s Cure album while studying today and god I wish Tom used the same effect on guitar again on this new album.
That huge Cure influence is what made Untitled so special.

I know Skiba used it bunch of times for his side projects and I will never understand why they didn’t take advantage of it while recording NINE or California
