This would probably wrap up faster if everyone could just accept we’re all gonna have differing opinions on these things instead of calling people who say they don’t like something “the fun police”

 

It would probably help if people didn't feel the need to always balance out people's recommendations with their own counter-opinion.

Like, this is how this shit starts, someone says something, someone has to follow it up with an "I disagree", and the cycle goes on.

Moon Knight had moments, but was ultimately just whatever and I really liked Ms Marvel

I don't care if you don't like it, that's fine. It's just a bummer when you're trying to share your enthusiasm about something and the literal next response is someone talking about how they didn't like it. It's a buzzkill.

I know I'm not the only one to feel this way. Hell, sophos is talking about it in the gaming thread right now.

 

Someone asked if they should watch moon knight. Some people said they liked it and some people said they didn’t. Maybe the user that asked the question values the opinions more of the people who didn’t like it?

 

This would be true, except they didn't ask if they should watch Moon Knight, they asked if they have to watch Moon Knight because of this movie. Totally different.

 

And the reverse happens plenty of times as well. We’re all here to discuss our opinions on art. And again, you could just let it go and move on

 

For clarity’s sake, it’s one thing when the conversation gets catty and unnecessarily aggressive but that’s so clearly not what’s happening here. Someone asked if the show is relevant, you said they should watch regardless, two people said it wasn’t for them. There were no insults or personal attacks
