He should compile the unused songs he wrote and release an X182 record ala XEB (former members of 3EB).

 

Or just wait 4 years until Tom quits again and he rejoins Mark and Travis. Kidding (kind of).

 

XEB remains terrible and sadly embarrassing

 

Last I heard which was from Jason’s post above albums almost complete.

 

When the 30 year Enema pop vinyls got announced earlier this year, Mark went on Discord and said there was no announcement/news to share. This was July, so unless he was being coy then, they may have started working together late July/early August.

 

He said there was no announcement to share, which was true at the time

 

So is it safe to say then that the drum tracks were actually recorded much earlier this year?

 

I believe they already had like 7(?) songs done before the big announcement and song came. Then they kept writing more.

 

Per @imthesheriff the album is almost complete

 

Yeah they were well into recording during the whole Pop figure and Tom putting blink back in his instagram bio debacle. The tour was the big thing they had to wait for based on Mark’s 1 year scans/getting the all clear to tour.

 

Wouldn’t doubt if it were like the last couple of records where they’ve had more than enough material for the album for a while but just keep writing more and more while they’re in the zone.

Also that January deadline makes me think that April/May release date is pretty realistic. Hopefully we get an announcement/song in February.

- The album will probably be longer than 10 tracks.

- "Edging" is definitely on the album.

- In terms of which blink releases influenced the project, “a little bit of all of them.”

- He doesn’t know of any features being considered for the album.

- Most of the songs on the record feature Mark & Tom singing in certain parts.

- They are trying to keep things “as blink as humanly possible.”
