Tbh not sure why an online show would “sell out”, but I’m not complaining. TFIC is one of my all-time favorite records, it’s gonna be so amazing to hear some of those songs again.

The Future is Cancelled is so much better than The King of No Man. They sounded way too much like a band on the way out plus the production is...lacking.

 

TFIC is nearly perfect

 

I'd even say TFIC is better than all of The Menzingers albums except for OTIP.

TFIC is one of my favorites. Upsetting that I never got to see these guys live. Hoping for a Fest reunion one year

I liked both of his sets -- I think I preferred this version as the sound was a little better. Bobby is a helluva musician.

I found it interesting that he said he hates Smash 2 after some folks were requesting (for the record, he also hates You Have Flaws). It makes me reflect more on the King of No Man. 3 of his songs were re-visited from the solo record. One was Smash 2. And the other two feel very out of place for a CWS album.

 

Smash 2 and you have flaws are two of their best lol

 

Lol I like Smash 2 a lottoo. He didn't expand much on why he doesn't. Fun fact -- "tomorrow we'll rise as two, tonight we'll fall together" was taken from Me Smash, You Die but in listening to the songs, they seem unrelated otherwise.

I always took Smash 2 as a related song to Midwestern States by the Menzingers, similar to Brother/Sunday Morning but could be wrong on both fronts.

He said You Have Flaws beat out Let's Play Kill All The Humans for the final spot on TFIC.

 

Yeah MSYD seems like a totally different song haha. Why do you see smash and Midwest as related? I’ve never thought that

 

I'm bummed I missed half of Adultery but he played all the Future songs I wanted to hear and the first half was sequenced perfectly :')

 

love that version of "Trying Year", he has such a good voice

Pretty much given up hope of them ever coming to the west coast again.

But I would kill to be wrong.

 

Definitely their best show of the ones I've seen. They seemed to be really happy to be there, especially Leo. What a great show I really hope they continue to play
