I only saw a few of his matches, but can we give honourable mention to Mike Bailey? Who after facing an enforced hiatus with pandemic border issues has been one of the hardest working wrestlers on earth - working bangers across a number of promotions.

Yeah, from what I heard it’s mostly a bunch of clips from BSOTR episodes and other random interviews. Seemed like a lazy, puff piece to try to cash in on the Vince controversy instead of actually digging deep into any of the accusations against him. Incredibly disappointing considering they could have done something great.

It sucks for sure. But I can also see with it being a publicly traded company and the Mattel shit that there might be some pressure. The content was definitely more “spicy” as the kids say than what most other female wrestlers are putting out.

Yeah and there is some precedent, iirc AR Fox was never hired by WWE (even when Evolve was basically developmental) because he did actual porn.

While I agree that they definitely have no issue profiting off of her objectification, I think it’s a little more nuanced than that. I think most employers would discipline an employee if this brought “negative” attention to them. Now I’m not saying I think that’s ok either. People should be allowed to do what they want. But I read that supposedly there’s videos or pics of her on top of her boyfriend or husband? That might be a bit much to over look for a company

 

she's not an employee, she's an independent contractor. and ignoring that, i don't see how the 'attention' she brought is any different from the attention the company seeks when they actively promote her.
