Most of the first trailer being footage from the first movie was not on my bingo card. Spider-Man 2099 beating someone up was on my bingo card.

This trailer really went all in on "there's so many Spider-People!" Not much to go off of story-wise, or any teases of where they're pushing the aesthetic. Surprised at the lack of Spot.

Still ridiculously pumped for the next chapter of this 'verse, of course!

Great hype trailer with not giving away too much story. VERY anticipated but i wanna walk into this not knowing much, but at the same time i can't help myself when they bust out a new trailer etc.

Side note - I always thought the spiderman 2099 suit was amazing, but never read any of the comics or storyline. What would be some good arcs to check out?

less than half a year away. to think the first trailer for the original spider-verse was about a full year in advance

I just read the wikipedia and it sounded pretty underwhelming.

  21. Pretty sure I saw the Spidey from the Playstation games in that trailer. Nice.

I haven't read it yet, but there's a recent book called Spider-Man 2099: Exodus, written by a talented writer I respect a lot, Steve Orlando.

It's a single collection, containing the core 5-issue miniseries plus the "Alpha" and "Omega" issues. (Not sure why they did that instead of making it just a 7-issue miniseries. Maybe it had to do with story structure? Comics are weird, lol. But, it's a single trade paperback volume.) Seems to include a lot of cool 2099 stuff, and also somehow Norman Osborn. I'd say look into that.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

dope trailer. kinda looks like Oscar Isaac-Man is the villain, which I wasn't expecting
