SNL is a microcosm for how legacy media treats pop culture and one of the most visible paradigms of its overall decline. If you profit heavily from the status quo and recognize that the message of the most popular movie of all time is that the cataclysmic American hegemony can only be violently overthrown from within or it will eat everything it touches for the rest of time, you can either reinforce the idea that the narrative itself is inferior, bare bones, and unmemorable until your audience unconsciously rewrites their own perspective, or just criticize the font design and talk about the ponytail sex

That said, it's pretty funny how this got Jon Landau to change the font for Avatar 2

What are you guys guessing the Rotten Tomatoes score will be? I’m guessing somewhere in the 80% range similar to the first one, seems like there’ll be a minority of negative reviews still. But I think a lot of the positive reviews will be very positive based on early reactions.

Hard to guess based on early reviews for films because they are often front loaded with praise. If I had to guess then I’d say somewhere near the first film just to be safe so somewhere in the low 80s.

 

Probably above 80 and cresting 90

Remember, critics still like a bad movie if it has enough bells and whistles and flashing lights, which TWOW will have in spades. Force Awakens at 93%, Endgame at 94%. No Way Home at 93%

If my showing is at like 2 PM Saturday when should I start dehydrating myself so I don’t have to use the bathroom during the movie
