For whatever reason, Fall Out Boy has been unable to penetrate the music critic re-evaluation that MCR and Paramore broke through so they'll never be invited to play Coachella.

 

What about MCR for Coachella? There were down for it for 2020 and they are free during that weekend

Rumor has it they had a huge falling out with AEG/GV. They refused to take a non-headlining spot and AEG/GV wanted them to sub for RATM once it became clear they were available. They paid MCR the booking fee and just moved on with RATM.

I was expecting MCR to be in a much higher place. Also, what is Silk Sonic and how did they manage to sell tickets at an average price of over $300 per ticket?

yea it did, literally almost every single date was sold out. I’m shocked they aren’t doing a full blown second one this summer hitting up everywhere they didn’t hit on the first run.

 

It was originally announced in 2020 and got postponed. So they had about 2 years to sell tickets

 

Ironically very similar to EDM festivals, very welcoming and easy to get high.

 

And lots of the dates sold out whenever they first went on sale too

There's a venue in New York called Elsewhere that's vocally calling out merch cuts. Very excited to spend money on Loathe merch when I see them next week
