Folks, is D-Box worth it? An extra $5 in my theater. Seems like this would be the movie to splurge on, but I'm mostly curious about comfort/how distracting it will be. I know there are intensity controls.

 

Also, while I have decided I need to see this in 3D, I totally understand the darkness of the glasses and the headaches it gives some people. Still thing the film should be plenty of fun not in 3D

Got a ticket to the 2D Dolby Cinema showing for opening Thursday night. Dolby Cinema isn’t showing this in 3D at all which is fine with me.

 

Super excited for this. I have a ticket for Thursday night which is how my wife and I will be spending our anniversary. We've been pumped to buy tickets every since the trailer came out, and didn't even realize that that's what we had booked our night for until after, but hey, we're both excited so it won't be the worst way to spend an anniversary.

I can't believe how excited I am to see this despite all the delays and the overly cynical takes I've read about the first for years. After being whelmed by yet another Marvel movie last weekend, I just want a blockbuster to make me feel something and provide pure escapism. Coupled with my sudden nostalgia for its predecessor, I have high hopes for this one.

Skipping a work gift exchange that I SET UP to see this lol. That's self-care. (It's also a bummer, but I do not want to catch the 7pm showing with a bunch of freaks).

 

I got tickets for 2 pm on Friday.

 

I got 4pm Thursday and so far, I'm one of four people in the theater. Dead center. I wish we had an IMAX near us.

 

I just looked and I’m dead center last row and the seat on either side of me hasn’t been bought, hopefully it stays that way!

 

I'm as close to center as possible, IMAX 3D, 2:15 Saturday
