Whatever Tom is using here to correct his pitch live, he better bring this to the blink shows. Probably the best videos of him live in an extremely long time. I don't know much of this is edited or not, but fuck it. Give me this Tom.

Definitely edited – the key being it wasn't actually a livestream. It was a stream of a taped performance. He experimented with live pitch correction at the beginning of Angels, at least ... and it was was pretty rough in spots. Not sure if he's gotten better with it live since.

 

Yeah I have to imagine it was edited pretty heavily. It is always hard to tell while at the show, but I feel like he was using it on the last tour and really sounded good. But again, super hard to tell when you’re at the show.

 

I think people said he sounded a lot better overall on the last tour. I haven't seen Angels since that Warped Tour run, so it's been a while.

 

Yeah when I saw AVA in Fall 2021 he definitely sounded the best he had in over a decade. Not sure if he was using pitch correction or not.

 

Saw them twice in the last few years and he definitely sounded MUCH better during this last tour than the previous AVA tour from 2019ish.
