Is this my AOTY?

 

I liked this when it first came out but the last few days I've been obsessed with it. What a fucking album.

 

lots and lots of great records this year but not a lot as lean and mean as this one. all killer.

 

absolutely one of my favs this year, title track is my song of the year without a doubt

Audio kind of sucks but this is great

this is my album of the year which is funny because I was slightly critical of it when it first dropped but the more I spent time inside these songs the more the pieces made sense as a cohesive whole, plus I think the lyrics are absolutely brilliant

 

It's in my top 3 I think with Rolo Tomassi and Arm's Length.

I don't know the order yet.

The "pickitup pickitup" after the "but the trigger is stuck" line in "Violent Astrology" will live rent free in my head for a very long time.

 

This is comfortably in my top 5 of the year. Think that Field Sobriety Practice is my favourite on here at the moment.

This thread has got me listening to this album again and really coming around on some of the more chaotic elements. It's just so dense it's a hard listen the first few times, but there are some incredible arrangements on here.

 

Man that switch up in Star Baby makes me emotional

 

one of the best moments of the year. love this dude's cleans

 

star baby and title track are the best song fucking ever

 

the thing that astounds me most is how incredible and crisp the production is and it seems like the guy they recorded it with is just like a new up and coming kid recording small ass bands out of a little space and that makes this all the more impressive from a technical standpoint

 

I have to keep apologizing to people i hang out with regularly for playing Title Track so much

 

Don't really care for anyone else on that card, but I'm just happy I don't have to drive 2+ hours for the Daoboys.

 

So pissed I had to miss their last show in BK with Rolo Tomassi. One of the best billings of the year and I blew it
