Although looking back at the PWI list, The Miz won most improved in 2016, and he's basically in the same boat as The Acclaimed...had a really well defined character but found something that sharpened its focus and renewed its energy (the IC title run + Talking Smack shoot + feud v Dolph)

 

Yeah, I see what you mean for those guys. NXT talent for sure. Bron, Solo, Mandy definitely had a wild year in NXT.

I also think the Acclaimed deserve credit for how they evolved their characters and matches as winning faces. Previously they were a bit of a cheap heat act that looked decent losing a lot. They've done a killer job honing their characters and ring work to be one of the most over acts on earth and now winning weekly.

 

Dude’s grown so much. I used to think he was a dork, but he’s really came into his own this year. I’d love to see him win the GCW title from Gage. Radrick and Jordan Oliver are the future of GCW.

 

If Tiffany Stratton hadn’t disappeared, I would include her in the conversation. Her entire development has been on TV and showed improvement every week.

I’d pick The Acclaimed as well for most improved. Both guys have stepped up their ring work (especially Max, who is the weaker wrestler of the two), and their character work has been fantastic.

 

I was wondering about her too. Apparently she got hurt in the lights out match

 

Same. Never liked him at first but he's definitely won me over. Watching his The Life Of episode also helped.

 

She had her breasts done too but I assume she took advantage of her injury time to get surgery. Hopefully she’s back soon.

 

I'd like to see her be the one to take the title from Mandy tbh

 

For how long the reign has been I think it has to be a big babyface win, but I think she would be next in line.

I'd also say it's not like SRS's typical "here's an update on ______" that's immediately followed by them debuting/returning (Emma, Tegan, Becky)

 

If Drew Gulak coming out and watching Charlie Dempsey on NXT leads to tag team/stable where they body any teams they wrestle, I’m all in. That will be incredibly entertaining to me. Yes.
