seems very slick so far. All I've done is set up apps so far though. lovely bit of kit. the jet black is awesome looking, but had to slap a cover on it haha. trying out the headphone dongle now hahah

what is up with that touch id though. ridiculously fast. my ipad feels ancient compared to it

 

Turns out sprint is retarded and my phone is still on the way. Hopefully getting my Jet Black 128g 7 in the first two weeks of October. This wait is killing me.

Just been looking at Apple HomeKit stuff for the first time and saw this: Philips Hue White Starter Kit A60 E27

If I bought that, is that all I need to control lights in my house? Does the hub thing have to plugged into the mains? Is there a cheaper alternative? All I really want is to control the brightness of my lights from my phone and be able to set some timers for the winter months. Nothing overly fancy.

 

It doesn't bother me that I have to use an adapter for the headphone jack because it's going to stay in my car anyway. What does bother me is how flimsy it feels. I go through aux cords all the time and this thing feels so thin I'm scared it's going to fray after about two weeks.

So not to throw cold water on your moment, but I'm assuming you don't have permission to use the likeness of any of those celebrities (Bieber especially considering he has his own app) and especially don't have permission from the NBA to use its logo and the Cavs logo. I have only been making apps for about two years, but I would be careful heading into that territory. We flirted with the idea of doing a keyboard with Olympic swimmers several months ago, and that process was a huge pain trying to get it properly set up with contracts and what not. Just a fair warning.

 

We're conscious of it and the next update will wipe the sport logos. There's a number of celebrity sticker packs that use actual photographs, which we were sure we wouldn't want to use. I think we can get away with parody here. Thank you for the words of warning though!

Day 1 of using an iPhone as my daily phone. Biggest things are comfortably getting it out of my pocket (my old phone was slightly different dimensions and I put it into my pocket bottom down) and worrying about the longevity of listening to music through the lightning port. Scroll speed is also slower than my old phone, that'll take some getting used to.

Holy shit at the standby time. Ridiculous.

 

So I saw this article because iMessage was trending on FB about Apple logging your contants which seemed kinda fucked up but then I read this article which seems to clear that up.

 

I'm having a problem with listening to audio on my 7 plus through Bluetooth headphones. The other day I used a Bluetooth speaker fine. I have some random amazon headphones that connect but when I play music or a podcast the audio just comes out of the phone. The weird thing is I received a phone call while trying this and I was able to take the call through the headphones. Is there something I need to enable or maybe just need to get some better headphones?

Edit: restarting my phone and then turning the Bluetooth off and back on seemed to do the trick. Weird that I was able to get the phone call though.

 

The Bluetooth in my car sometimes takes a while to connect to my iPhone 7. I didn't have this issue with previous iPhones.

That feeling when your new 7 Plus is scheduled to arrive on a Friday, so you stay home from work to greet it, but, it gets delayed in Korea for a full day, sooo estimated delivery changes to Monday...... What a terrible new phone-free weekend this will be :(

I was briefly considering trading in my 36GB for the 128GB. Once I was informed that it's only like $4-5 more a month, I nearly did it. However, I always have such a difficult time getting all my contacts to switch over from to phone. For some reason any new contact I've added in like the last six months, don't transfer. I've never had any luck w/ iCloud either. I was surprised when I checked my internal memory out and saw it was already half-full. I only have one and a half pages of apps (and that's without any folders). Only have a couple albums downloaded also. So I went through and deleted all the pre-installed shit on there that I would never use and it cleared up about five gigs. So now I've got 20 GB available which is more than plenty.

Also, people are retarded.

People's vernacular, for the most part, is simply not sensitive to it.

I like @airik625 and @carrytheweight, and won't be making a blanket judgment on them as people because of their use of the word.

Yea, totally. I know people who say it and I call them out on it, but I don't think it makes them bad people. I'm just not accustomed to seeing it on Chorus, and I've seen it twice in one page in this thread.

 

A lot of people just don't understand that it's not acceptable to use it like that any more. Just explain to them why it's an issue rather than saying you're going to block them. That's not going to fix the problem.
