An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

The King of Limbs is top 3 for me. might be even higher if you put "The Butcher" and "Staircase" on there somewhere

Planned on spending this week diving into OKC, kid a and amnesiac but i can’t stop listening to Kid A long enough to care about the other two

I saw The Smile yesterday and got to meet the band, and while waiting in line the people in front of me were talking about how they discovered Radiohead and I thought it was an interesting conversation. So how did you all discover Radiohead?

Anyone get to see them in the 90s? Or even early 2000s?

I'm sure I had heard Creep in passing at some point, but my first time taking notice of Radiohead was when the Paranoid Android was released and MTV was playing it all the time. I only became a casual fan at that time but then really got into them when Kid A and Amnesiac came out.

The one and only time I've seen them was the summer of 2003 after Hail to the Thief came out. Amazing show from what I can remember, but going on 20 years now, it's a bit blurry in my memory.

I've heard about Radiohead but couldn't really get into them. One day Clairo posted a video with "All I Need" in the background and for whatever reason it clicked and I've been a huge fan ever since. Most Gen Z answer possible hahaha

I vividly remember hearing "Airbag" circa 2001. It was one of those pivotal moments that, as a 13 or 14 yo, transformed how I looked at music on the spot... specifically, realizing how much more interesting and moving it could be than Staind and Alien Ant Farm and whatever else was dominating the local rock radio stations.

I like Kid A and IR a good bit more than OKC now, but that song will always be top 5 in their discog for me, and just super important in my musical journey overall.

I had known of them as a band to check out, but shortly after In Rainbows came out I found it on cd at the library (which is where I found a lot music). Fell in love right away, then went on to Kid A and Hail to the Thief and so on. I also had one friend who was huge into them so we always nerded out about them together haha. Hoping I'll get a chance to seem them someday!

I just remember Attack of the Show(lol) talking about how they were releasing In Rainbows for free and I thought that was so cool att

  12. Yeah, this is an insane answer but the In Rainbows art was pretty instantly iconic and I read an interview with Jonah Hill in Alt Press (I think) mentioning he had been listening to it nonstop, so those two things pushed me to buy the CD lol. I was 12 or 13 and remember not liking "15 Step" at first lol

I might have mentioned this, but even though the first Radiohead song I heard was "Creep", I got into popular music relatively late, so my first album of theirs was Amnesiac.

I got into the band after hearing exit music for a film in Romeo and Juliet, convincing me to pick OK Computer as one of the 8 albums in that Columbia House mail order cd club thing.

First time hearing Radiohead was likely the Fake Plastic Trees music video on Beavis and Butthead. Then the first time I really paid attention was the MTV world premiere of Paranoid Android which immediately confused and warped my child brain.

In rainbows is what got me into them. Never listened before hand.

  20. I’ve known of Radiohead forever but for a long time, Creep was the only song I heard. This is weird but Jon Simmons from Balance & Composure tweeted the lyrics to There, There and I really liked the lines, Googled them and listened to the song and absolutely LOVED it. I’ve been a fan ever since

The first song that got to me was Inside My Head. Someone recommended that to me in 2005 I think. I remember seeing them at a festival from the back but I was sick and didn't really enjoy their performance.
A couple years later In Rainbows was released and hearing that for the first time was insane. Loved them ever since.
