I can see why people make their end of the year lists in November. There's been at least a month drought.

 

My band Teo & the Cosmic Neighborhood just dropped an instrumental version of our 2021 album! Perfect for studying, working, or relaxing. We also made animations for every single song and you can watch those, visualizer-style on YouTube. If you haven't checked us out before, we're indie pop/rock (think Death Cab for Cutie) but with influences from lo-fi hip hop, video game music, and bossa nova. We were inspired to do this after seeing bands like The Classic Crime put out instrumental versions of their records and I'm really happy with how these different mixes turned out.

 

Lane 8 has dropped the remix album of his latest album “Reviver” (if you haven’t checked out the original release I highly recommended it.

If anyone enjoys post-grunge like I do, then I'd like to recommend Temple Agents, a band in that vein from Chile. I haven't heard any of their new stuff, but their last album was a treasure. I think they did some work with someone in Alter Bridge on the last album, but I can't remember who and I don't have time to research it right now.

 

New Rehasher (Roger from ltj) single out today

 

The Strung Out vocalist Jason Cruz dropped a new album today as part of his folk project Jason Cruz and Howl.

Probably the only thing appealing to me today, but it's landing nicely! Seems to have a more bluesy edge than that Strung Out acoustic EP from a few years back.

 

Only thing I'm really hyped for today is one of my most anticipated albums of the year.

I feel bad to have been putting 2-3 albums I'm interested in onto my personal list (outside of recs in here) throughout latest Fridays - and still not finding the time to get back to what I skipped on the way and still have in my notes to check out ehh.

 

For hyperpop fans, my friend is trans and wrote a diss track about JK Rowling earlier this year, JK retweeted it attacking her & it blew up... she released the "apology" track today & it rules

 

Covers/tribute compilation to Kacey Musgraves' Golden Hour featuring Future Teens, Jetty Bones, John-Allison Weiss, pronoun, Ratboys, Rat Tally, Weakened Friends, and more!

These lists have gone steeply downhill since being flooded with 90% metal.
