Been looking back a lot lately on how much hype I had leading up to (and throughout) the Gold and Silver era… Crazy times.

 

Joe from Serebii said it’s shiny locked so don’t worry about it

 

No idea you had to unlock 6 star raids to have a Charizard raid appear so now I’m trying to do that

 

I just did this process too. Wondering how to find the Charizard battles now

 

I did a few Charizard raids and couldn’t beat any of them. Its health bar would go down all the way and then shoot up multiple times like there is a glitch. The time also will randomly go down much faster than it should.

 

So the four legendary Pokémon in the new games have Chinese names and are based on the Four Perils of Chinese mythology.

The spelling of the names are closer to Taiwanese Chinese romanization (Wade-Giles) instead of current Communist China romanization (Hanyu) which is also interesting and worthy of notice.

Being that there are usually hints of the next region in games, I wonder if Game Freak is planning on taking inspiration from Chinese tradition/folklore for the next region?

 

The time bar is working like it was designed to. Anytime a Pokémon faints, the game deducts a chunk time from what’s remaining. I’d check this out, it goes over all of the details.

 

I had two charizards in a row with ease, probably because my teammates were decent

 

And now some moron used dragonite and we lost lol some players have shit for brains

 

Yeah seems the play is use a good level 100 fairy mon that isn't weak to fire because they didn't give Charizard any steel moves for the raids.

 

So far I’ve won three out of four, a polteageist used skill swap to give char weak armor and it was surprisingly a decent idea but I wouldn’t recommend ever using a weak defensive character like that ever. The prizes char drops are so good. Probably have like 50 calcium now haha

 

The fact that they had a charizard raid den event but the patch they released right before it didn’t fix raids is hilarious. I love standing there for thirty seconds unable to do anything while having no idea what’s going on. Fun.

 

Some bozo joined the raid and used the scarlet cover Pokémon and it automatically made the sunny day effect, making Charizard stronger.

caught the very first charizard i encountered. the lv 100 azumarill is def the way to go. play rough, light screen, rain dance, liquidation. light screen and rain dance were particularly useful plus lots of health cheers

 

I don’t think you want to use rain dance because it makes hurricane 100% accurate, just belly drum and play rough should be enough. If you’re playing with a grimmsnarl don’t use light screen because you’ll probably be wasting a turn.

 

The sandwiches are no joke, got a shiny frigibax in two minutes lol
