Regarding Shaky Knees....doesn't Georgia still have that issue where if they hold an event in a public space they have to let people bring their guns in? Can see some idiot bringing a lawsuit again and it being cancelled like what happened with Music Midtown.

I doubt they would announce it months after that happened if they didn't have a plan. There was also another festival at this same park that went ahead. I'm guessing that either they're confident they have the legal rights to win any challenges and are prepared to fight it, have intel that the guy won't challenge them, or it'll just be a festival with guns and we'll have a darn tootin' shootin' good time.

nobody cares, I’ve seen a ton of people defending Kanye’s music and their want to listen to him. It’s the same defense we say in here all the time. People don’t care.

not trying to defend anyone, but listening to a song on Spotify is vastly different than supporting an artist by buying a ticket to their stadium tour

    Things have changed.

I don't see it in terms of financial support but rather publicly outing yourself as someone who listened to him enough to make him a top artist in your year.

regardless of whether you believe in separating art from the artist, the vast majority of music fans are able to do so and listen to someone’s music while acknowledging they are a bad person and disagreeing with their personal views

personally, i think looping in a music fan as a bad person simply because they listen to an artist who’s “canceled” (which rarely is a real thing) is whack. there’s bigger problems in the world than what someone listens to

now obviously if someone is listening to morgan, kanye, or in this corner of music brand new and defending their personal actions, that’s an entirely different thing IMO

I wouldn't have come out if Tyler Carter hadn't written what he did as the singer of Issues. I will never stop listening to them because they're so important to who I've become; however I will also never stop saying that he's a garbage person who has done unforgiveable things. Listening to something that kept me from killing myself doesn't make me a bad person just because the person who wrote it turned out to be a bad person

After looking at the image again and noticing his hat I wiki'd the band and noticed they're from there, so that makes sense.

Literally their hometown. It's not particularly surprising. They play there every few years.

IIRC there were a ton of sick DIY shows in New Bedford/Fall River like 10-15 years ago when bands like Turnover/Citizen/Transit/Man O/State Champs were first starting to tour

And even though they're not hardcore, New Bedford has a hell of a hardcore scene. A lot of good shit has come out of there over the years.

Just saw Pantera's reunion show and I had fun. They sounded great and the crowd was really into them.
