Yeah when I saw him in august he said we would hear something in a few months. This is torture!

 

He's been surprisingly quiet on social media lately so here's hoping there's some marketing work being cooked up.

On his Instagram story today he confirmed the record is done but is waiting on the label. Previewed very short segments of two new songs. He made it clear it's coming pretty soon though

 

Appreciate the update. His last album was really cool and won me over

 

Need me a studio version of the weakness asaps.

music video shoot today, things are really ramping up!

Was thinking we’d have Dirt Emo v2 first

 

Sorta felt like a no-brainer given how COVID pushes his touring back.

 

Agreed about Dirt Emo 2! I believe at one point in time he even asked on instagram what songs people wanted him to cover

 

When I did the VIP in boston, he mentioned working on a track with All Time Low, which… isn’t great. Kind of a bummer. Imagine it was for a possible DEV2

 

I think he mentioned being friends with/texting Rian Dawson at my show. It wasn't about working on something together (someone Rian knows was at the show), but I guess it makes sense that they'd be collaborating.

 

He has a Dirt Emo spotify playlist that includes v1 and a bunch of other tracks I thought were potential candidates (tbs, the national, conor oberst, sufjan).

 

At this point I imagine we’re not getting anything until January at the earliest. If anything

 

He posted a whole back that he finished LOTR and I drunkenly sent him a DM to name a song on his new album with a LOtR reference. He didn’t respond lol.
