That ruled. Soundtrack ruled too! There is certainly charm in some of these SOV movies for sure

 

The sequel is even better. Super memorable score and it's out there on vinyl! Great package!

 

Skinamarink is going to be on polarizing -- you have to be in the right headspace for it (I recommend watching in the dark and getting past the first 20 or so minutes before making up your mind -- but there are a few scenes that absolutely scared me more than anything I've seen as an adult. Really taps into a primal, childhood fear of the dark that most of us had in a wildly effective way.

I loved it, but apparently I'm in the minority and it's also weakened in my mind a bit since I saw it in theaters. But I think the performances and some of the choices are fucking wild. Maybe I just love Garland.
