Really would like to see Henwick return as Wing. Hopefully her increased popularity will help give her some leverage.

Mostly good, but I actually think a lot of the jokes in the first act were really bad. Once the mystery kicks in it’s very fun.

I really really hate movies that talk about Covid/masks/social distancing

This isn’t a plot spoiler at all but
we gotta abolish celebrity cameos where they play themselves. Does the actress Kate Hudson exist in this universe?

All the covid stuff just seemed pointless. And really I think all the current pop culture stuff is going to age very poorly

Blanc hating/being bad at Clue and other mystery type games is a great little detail

Some of the Covid stuff is cringey but the fact that it’s rich people having a party when they’re not supposed to makes it funnier

    “you’re good.”

    “but um…how….”

He’s credited as Efficient Man which is very funny

I didn’t mind the COVID jokes. As a delivery driver, the person coming to the door and covering their mouth with their cardigan was 100% spot on.

I liked this. Need to see again to form better thoughts. Need time to peel back some layers and get to how I really feel.

Accurate sure but like…why is it even set in May 2020

Probably to give Blanc a reason to be stuck at home and loathing why he hasn’t a case to solve. And also to skewer rich people’s habits during COVID. I understand it won’t work for everyone.

Okay yeah I definitely agree with the second part

luckily it isn’t the focus of the movie or anything, I’m just nitpicking

  11. I thought it was effective as a story setup, but I also just figured it was Rian writing during this really overwhelming time and trying to process some of that.

It was maybe his 3rd appearance when I finally was like “oh shit Kid Blue from Looper”

    so funny story

  23. Woke up thinking about a couple more things I loved.

"I hired Gillian Flynn to write this." I just read Dark Places last week so this killed me.

For a couple early scenes, I felt like Craig had the Benoit control cranked up to 11 and it was just too goofy. When it turns out that his hamming it up is actually a plot point, I was even more impressed with Craig's performance.

    Things have changed.

Liked this a lot. Definitely felt a little more self-indulgent than the first one and I thought the payoff was a touch weak, but I had a fun time.

This was so much fun. Wish it was more than a one week special event in theaters, it demands to be seen with a crowd. I liked this more than the first

RE: The COVID factor - I’m glad it was just used as a setup for giving all these rich people with nothing better to do a reason to go to an island for a murder mystery, and it was left as that nothing further.

However, I’d like to think the spray in the throat they do is completely useless - since its clear Norton is full of shit. It’s for the best they didn’t do this, but it would be kinda funny if everyone tested positive for COVID at the end
