What a win Japan. Germany these days are kinda like England of years gone by; great collection of players, but not remotely intimidating as a team at all. Spain & Costa Rica will be two tough games for them to try & get a win in too

After the last 48 hours, tying Saudi Arabia and losing to Japan in the warm up matches looks a lot less worrisome.

Going to be interesting to see how much concacafing Costa Rica gets away with in this upcoming match and how much that frustrates Spain.

When Arsenal let Takuma Asano go, not once did I see him scoring a winning goal in the World Cup vs Germany lol.

Pedri and Gavi starting in the midefield for Spain is just mind blowing to me. Both under twenty years old and starting in the World Cup.

Sule, rudiger, and schlotterbeck are so mediocre and offered zero offensively today. How many times can schlotterbeck just lift the ball from distance into an overcrowded box?

Musiala was worked so hard, but I would have left him in as he was one of the only players to generate anything on offense and unlock opportunities.

so far, both the games I’ve attended have been disappointing from a rooting perspective. Uruguay/SK tomorrow should still be good and if the US can salvage a point I will be thrilled.

What a pass that was. Omo hit it first time, anything else and you're looking at 1-0 Spain.

honestly, it’s been really good. Only friendly people, awesome vibe everywhere. Two qualms - hard to find food because EVERYWHERE is packed and the stubhub experience today, which is not the fault of anyone here.

As an American, I’m wowed by the simplicity of public transportation. The Europeans here likely already know how nice it is.

lastly, this is just the perspective of one white, heterosexual man. It’s weird being a minority for once, but I can’t complain. Everyone is here for the same reason - to have a good time and celebrate with one another.
