What the fuck is Simu even talking about? Quentin’s films all have POC in major roles and the whitest films he made are about killing fascists.

Marty has produced more films directed by women in the last five years than Marvel has ever. Both Marty & Quentin have brought over foreign films and helped expose them to a US audience.

Absolutely mind boggling how many people bend over backwards to defend marvel when the lightest bit of criticism is thrown at them as if questioning anything about the state of the industry is being an old hater.

 

Movies I love that are widely disliked: All 3 Matrix sequels, That’s My Boy (and many other Sandler movies), Freddy Got Fingered, Spring Breakers, Observe and Report, Funny People, Anchorman 2, Halloween Ends, Resident Evil Retribution, Ishtar, F9, some of the transformers movies (and Bay’s filmography in general has some bangers)

 

I will defend all the fast and furious movies and all the James Bond movies til I die.

 

I think the main problem here is that "online people" just can't for the life of them understand that their singular self not liking a movie doesn't make it bad. Like, I have zero interest in what you listed but I'm not gonna go online and rant about them being terrible... I'm just... not going to watch them
