Haha. Odd criticism, especially when there are a dozen other legitimate gripes with modern news outlets. Emily Heil covers food news. I'm not entirely sure food news is often going to be that hard hitting journalism people seem to crave from WaPo. I'm going to guess that even in 1972 there was a section in the paper for "food and lifestyle", or something of that nature, and the person writing in that section doesn't likely cover politics.

So seeing it talked about that the county that the Colorado shooter is from is a Second Amendment Sanctuary County and that they never really enforce or go along with the red flag laws available. Not sure how entirely accurate it is but would make sense and fucking terrifying.
