got into a fight with a friend of mine who said this sounds like boring ccm :(

 

Would be hilarious if it got nominated for a grammy under Christian/religious music. I have a hard time with anyone calling it boring though.

 

What is ccm

 

Guessing that’s bc “God” is in the album title but I don’t think there’s anything remotely religious or even spiritual in the lyrics

 

Contemporary Christian music

 

Disagree, but God seems to represent music or family or anything you can turn to above all else as opposed to an actual God

 

My mom listens to a lot of this and if it sounded anything like this album, I probably would too lol

Saw them live in Dallas last night. Killer show. Whole band was phenomenal but the guitar player is really something special.

his covers are always great. saw him a couple nights ago and it was possibly the best show of his i've seen yet. obviously alex is always so good but sam the guitarist is oftentimes the highlight of the performance. dude is awesome.

 

I saw him a week ago to date and it was a great show!

 

this record (and the subsequent live show) were my introduction to him, but I think this might be my AOTY

 

Yeah Sam is one of the best live guitarists I’ve seen lately. He was absolutely shredding at the end of Forgive.
