Absolutely wild it’s still on the air. I don’t think I’ve seen an episode since 2016? Maybe 2017?

The worst part of the zombie craze were the zombie walks. I am glad those went away.

iger was one of hillary’s biggest donors and resigned from advising trump pretty quickly after starting, it’s much more likely he’s a centrist bloomberg type than anything else

It is exhausting having to see everything in such a tight window while nothing else comes out the rest of the year. Other than Top Gun I had not been to a theater in almost the whole year.

I do think spreading out award season movies would make some difference. But it’s absolutely not a silver bullet.

I can’t decided where I fall on the “needs a movie star” to draw in ticket sales argument the article also mentions. On the one hand, a movie like Amsterdam can have just about every star on the planet (including Taylor Swift) and flop, but then Don’t Worry Darling had the likes of Harry Styles and Florence Pugh and turn a profit. Both had poor reviews and big stars, but one did well at the box office and the other didn’t. Maybe the drama surrounding the latter helped? I suppose Amsterdam’s stars are still big but not as hot in the moment as Styles and Pugh. I know that’s just two movies, but ultimately I’m not entirely convinced by the argument.
