Do porn actors fall under the umbrella of sex workers, or does that term merely apply to more in-person, escort like services? I'll admit to being woefully ignorant about the current take on the porn industry. I've heard some women say it's horrifically degrading and sets up wildly unrealistic expectations with sex, while others have made arguments that it is empowering to women.

Yes, porn actors, OnlyFans-style adult content creators (the type Twitter was largely seeking to monetize), etc. are by most considered sex workers.

And there are parts of the industry that are exploitative and degrading to women, and parts that are less so.

If it’s not part of your job I can’t see why anyone in this thread would have a Facebook. Twitter is all I have. Instagram was 90/10 promoted posts vs posts from pages I followed by the time I got rid of it.

I have a group of friends that live all over the states. We are all on Facebook. We have a couple groups we are active in that we keep private. We meet up once a year and also have a group for that.

I mainly use it for a few groups I'm in, including one for my kids' school/PTA, but I rarely make any personal posts there.

It's also helpful for keeping up-to-date on friends and family I don't get to see regularly. None of them are on Twitter and Instagram is all but useless for that since there is no option for a chronological feed.

Most of my friends that do regularly still use social media are typically still on facebook and instagram. Not sure why but there's just a big section of millennials currently in the 27-40yearish age range around here that never moved on from FB being their "main" social media in terms of posting something besides pictures. A handful of people I know have twitter but even out of them only a couple actually use it by actually tweeting haha.

I've also found various facebook groups to be super useful. THere's one for AP government teachers around the country and I get a ton of resources from it.

I do the majority of my political posting on FB too. Someone's gotta balance out all the right winged BS people are seeing on there!

Man, Twitter and Ticketmaster in the same week? We are truly in a time of the fall of empires.

I think I follow like 10 actual people I know on twitter? I don’t really post just have one to look at shit.

I have Facebook mainly to somewhat keep in touch with family I never see.

Instagram is the only one I actually like and use a decent amount. I follow a lot of bands, tattoo artist and actual friends on there.

FB is for old people for sure. I was trying to tell my company that Ray ban stories would be much more appealing if it was open sourced and you could just download photos without FB. Only thing I use is regularly is Instagram, snap very sparingly only basically if someone messages me on it.
