Counterparts - A Eulogy for Those Still Here (October 7, 2022)

yeah not only is this my fav counterparts but this is also probably gonna be my aoty. absolutely ridiculous record

 

Definitely their best record to date. It’s very good.

 

Top 3 albums for them easily.

Does anyone know what’s going on with Alex? This is such a big release for them and the first time we’ve had Alex, Jesse & Brendan on an album together since Difference. A few months before release he stopped touring with them and has been entirely absent from social media where he was pretty active before. Hope he’s alright. Band has had Tyler moved to guitar and the bass lines being played off the laptop.

This kinda music got really old to me years ago but this is the one band for me that still produces incredible stuff in this genre.

 

Never got into them previously but these songs are really grabbing me!

This (Heaven Let Them Die) is their strongest material to date IMO.

I really hope this is the direction of their next record!

 

This is the best Counterparts have ever sounded. Production on this EP is fucking CRISP.

 

Is there another Counterparts album that is this heavy sounding? This sounds more like END than what I remember other Counterparts stuff sounding like.

 

nah counterparts usually thread in a lot of melody in their writing. this is by far their heaviest

cant say i loooooooooooove it but its growing on me a little. opener is undeniably flames. generally prefer their other stuff though, eulogy and nltl are all timers for their style

 

Yeah this is definitely their heaviest material yet. I’ve been pretty grumpy this week so this has been a nice soundtrack for my moodiness lol
