Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

This went off topic but oh well. I'm 26 and have been lurking since I was about 15, and posting since I was 26.

I bought a bunch of albums at Borders actually.

I bought Futures at a Circuit City, which is also no longer a thing.

So did anyone participate in the JEW Twitter Q&A? Not too many juicy details came from it tbf. I asked a bunch of questions but none of them were answered :(

Yeah, I asked a question that didn't get answered. It was about what I expected from them.

i’ve been meaning to tell you

I was happy to hear about the David Bazan influence :) but rather than that it was pretty goofy

Yeah. It gives a fun, light-hearted image of them when they answer goofy questions which is good. But the problem is most of the questions the person doesn't actually care about the answer... they're just asking for the sake of it because they want the chance to get a shout out from the band. I (and others I'm sure) asked questions I genuinely wanted answers to, but unfortunately didn't get a look-in. I don't blame them though... there were loads of questios and they couldn't have possibly gone through them all.

Hey now. Look at you. Way cool.

What questions did you guys ask? These were mine:
    1. Jim, favourite color for your signature Telecaster?
    2. Did all your albums have a "concept" (like Invented's photos, Damage's breakup, IB's expectation/reality)
    3. You talked about getting away from relying on instinctive solutions to musical problems. Any specifics?
    4. Zach, are you still going to work on new The Wretched Desert songs?
    5. Any throwbacks to Go Big Casino on the new album (like the Ready bridge in Damage)?
    6. How much of a song's composition/instrumentation is decided in the studio vs. prepared in advance?
    7. Will you ever re-release (even just digitally) your debut 1994 album?
Fine, I did bombard them a little bit. But I am interested in answers to those questions.

Oh well, at least I got to know that they like cheese, and that Zach would be a gorilla if he could be any animal.

I'm 34, started visiting AP back in my sophomore year of college, I think ('01-'02) and joined the forums probably the next year. I re-joined with a different user name in '05 and was a regular for a few years, left for a bit, and came back a few years ago.

31 and started posting when I was 21. Have had various usernames since then because at various times I've been an idiot and a weirdo and its for the best.

I can't wait to hear this album. Damn all ye who hath birthed it upon thine ears.

Someone mentioned a few pages back about You Get What You Give by New Radicals being a classic song - I agree. It's one of a few songs in recent history that come out of nowhere and just seem to transcend the era that they were written in, almost like that particular melody has always been in the back of your head. Drops of Jupiter by Train is another one. Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve as well.
