My apartment is across the street from a legit Mexican restaurant and market. Opening up my front door to the smell of Carnitas in the morning is truly a joy.

Yo why isn't there like a fast casual restaurant that specializes in Thanksgiving dinners 365 days of the year?

Also always wondered why there isn't a fast food chain that specializes in carnival food. Just turkey legs, corndogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, deep fried oreos, ect

    Isn't that basically Boston Market?

Turkey, chicken, prime rib, mashed potatoes, corn, mac and cheese, etc

Close but not really. They're more about chicken. Does BM even have turkey on their menu all year round? Plus they don't do stuffing or cranberry sauce or sweet potato pie.

True, there's no cranberry sauce, but there is sweet potato casserole according to their menu. I think that's the most thanksgiving-like you're going to get. I haven't had it in years, as all of the Boston Markets in my area went out of business for being horrible.

Love to see a can of Ocean Spray at Thanksgiving.

If anyone here likes to make their own cranberry sauce, I highly recommend trying it with half the amount of cranberries substituted by blueberries.

Cranberry sauce has no place whatsoever on my thanksgiving plate. I don't know where it started or why, but no. I generally don't mind sweet & savory combos (a fruity salsa with fish tacos or fruit/berries in a salad), but it's just a bizarre concept to have a pile of mashed potato and gravy, and green beans and turkey and then.... a scoop of cranberry sauce?

Same as if I go to Ikea and get the Swedish meatballs - do not touch my plate with that lingonberry crap.

Also RE Boston Market - that was my favorite in college and I remember it being solid, but they don't have them in the south and it sounds like they're not really doing all that well back up North either so maybe it was just good food for the time and place in my life.

There should be a fast casual restaurant for every genre of cuisine. Like how Pollo Tropical (which fucking rules) is just a Latin-Caribbean Boston Market. Give me an Ethiopian Boston Market, an Middle Eastern Boston Market, an Indian Boston Market, a Greek Boston Market, a Korean Boston Market, ect. Give me a Boston Market for everything

If it just one in Florida it must me mine lol. The one i've gone to as a kid in Palm Harbor off US 19 is still there. I've ordered Boston Market off Uber Eats at least a few months ago.

some sandwich/sub places will have thanksgiving sandwiches you can get. I know D'Angelos usually has them, I think. But also, that style of food doesn't really fit with the fast/casual and on-the-go aspect of those restaurants

Another idea that popped into my head that I admit is kind of awful but i think would make so much fucking money: A food truck whose gimmick is they sell shitty cheap to make school lunches to Gen Z and Millennials and upcharges for the nostalgia factor.

Sloppy Joe's, that very distinctive school lunch Pizza that doesn't taste like any other pizza, Shepard's Pie, Strawberry Milk, Apple Juice pouches, ect.

I've said for a long time now that Sloppy Joes are an uptapped market. Either a fast food place should offer them as a dollar menu item or a food truck should start making different kinds of sloppy joes.
