Not sure you can count Xavi Simons as a breakout star, although I think he will be excellent.

I’d say Andreas Olsen for Denmark.

Were you into football back when El Hadj Diouf and Salif Diao had their breakthroughs with Senegal?

Don't know about Garrett but I certainly did not need that reminder.

I don’t think so. 2009 Confed Cup was my first big tourney.

IIRC the case was thrown out by the judge because Kathryn Mayorga’s legal counsel obtained the information through the Der Spiegel leaks.

Im not a lawyer so I’m not sure if she has any other avenues she could pursue but I imagine him not coming over already speaks pretty loudly.

Apologies for the crude mock up but I’ve only got my phone to work with atm.

As much as this is funny, I cannot imagine any actual Arsenal fan thinking that is a good idea or that anyone at the club would want that. Goes against literally every policy we have.

Chelsea is FAR more likely to get him in Jan, just the kind of dumb stuff they do lol.

Good god. We are an insane club lol. Gonna be super awkward when he goes to Juventus or whatever.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

In terms of WC breakout players, there's an Australian youngster that Newcastle have already bought who is getting really hyped. Whether that's just the press in the north east getting over excited remains to be seen. Guy is called Garang Kuol.

This bodes well for their WC aspirations.

Fucking hopefully. He’s been class every time I’ve seen him and we desperately need a right back.

Also rumours they want Sanchez, Caicedo and Trossard.

Scumbag club with, it turns out, a scumbag manager.

A club devoid of any ideas.

Uh apparently Fulham are bidding £20m for Kessie. Has his stint at Barca been bad?

Nope. He's just clearly behind 5 others.

Watching a youtube video with Rice and Yaya Toure and multiple times Yaya mentions that Rice needs to move on and make that step up to a big club. Can’t imagine West Ham feels good about that.

I think getting Taylor Swift tickets today prepared me for trying to get 2026 World Cup tickets.

I can justify $350+ for nosebleeds for that though.

I got mid-tier for $209! But also, yeah. I’ll pay way too much for a USMNT match.

Bumping this as a few regulars haven’t said anything so just in case.

    Will draw on Thursday.

These prices are ridiculous. I get stomach aches when I have to pay more than 50€ for concert tickets, let alone football tickets. I think the most I payed for was something like 60€ for Green Day tickets 10 years ago. And that already felt like a rip-off.
Most bands I listen to only charge like 20-30€ fortunately, which is very reasonable. But especially football tickets have gotten quite expensive in the last years even here in Germany. I had to pay 45€ for Hertha-Bayern tickets in the upper section of the Olympiastadion two weeks ago. And even some 2nd and 3rd tier teams charge something like 15-30€ nowadays. It's gotten to a point where kids and people with low income are almost priced out.

Is there a cost to this? I might be in.

I was saying $350 for a pair. I ended up not purchasing. Not in a position to drop that kind of cash right now.

Lol. Football prices are insanely stupid over here. To sit behind the goal at a USL (2nd division 7K stadium) it’s about $25. Which are the low for prices

When the women’s team (NWSL) was playing the same stadium they were charging $10-15 more for the same seats. Prices were more reasonable once they moved to their permanent stadium which seats 32K
