I have his picture plastered above my bed. I pray to it every night and thank him for the blessings he's given me.

But yeah, giving up Kiko/Byron to move up which allowed us to trade up to get Wentz only to later flip Bradford and get a lot of it back seems like a win for the Eagles going away...but if it works out for you too in the end, then thats a good trade.

Maxwell hasnt been very good but they have been playing him off too much which he of course is not good at

the good news is Xavien Howard has really played well so far, especially for basically missing all of camp. we still need so much talent on D though...

 

Supposedly yes.....but I don't think it would have mattered if he was healthy. Probably destined to fail in the virus that is Billy Davis.

Just How Bad is Blake Bortles?

I made a statement on the latest Keep Choppin’ Wood episode that Blaine Gabbert was playing better than Blake Bortles right now. The notion stemmed from a discussion Michael Lombardi and Bill Simmons recently had on the two on Simmons’ podcast.

The fact that we can even have a comparison between the two is highly disappointing. However, it’s not completely unfounded.

There's a lot of bad things in stats for bottles

 

It makes it really hard to take them seriously when they blame everything on Bortles (when two of his interceptions and three of his sacks were not his fault) and call him the worst QB in the league despite the fact that Fitzpatrick literally just had seven turnovers last week. They have a point but let's not get cute here just because it's the Jaguars we're talking about.

 

If we really wanna talk about issues for the Jags it certainly should be about the coaching.

 

Like I said in the other thread, Les can be at Everbank by the time they land from London.

 

if the Jags lose on Sunday, theres no way that Bradley is the coach on Monday

 

I'll stop short of saying Blake is the worst QB in the league (because he absolutely is not) BUT....I feel like I've seen people here (*coughRandallcough*) defend him for a few years now and it's the same old story with him this year.

 

Bottles was pretty ok last year, no?

I tried to tell ya'll last year that Bortles was overrated but I got shat on

7 TOs already this year after 20+ last year

 

he was OKAY....but you'd think in Year 3 of a QB you took #3 OVR, you'd be wanting better than okay.

 

Dude who wrote it is a Jags fan fwiw, and he didn't call him the worst QB in the league, said he is arguably playing like it and while Fitz had seven turnovers last week he is also a week removed from destroying a Bills D that just picked Palmer off 4 times.

Carson Palmer has seven turnovers. Fitzpatrick has nine. Jameis has eight. Cam has six. Big Ben has eight. Bortles has seven.

And in terms in inaccuracy, Bortles is at 62 percent for the year. Jameis is the only other one above 60, and just barely at that. And Winston is the only one who has thrown more than him as well.

 

well I think that Fitz and Jameis aren't good either

Palmer might be on the downswing, thats for sure

Ben and Cam are 2 of the best 5 QBs in the NFL so I think they get some slack
