Fuck it, ordered a quarter from The Upstate Hemp Company after reading a bit about it on the subreddit. Seems worth a try! I have a little bit of regular weed left but once that runs out I have no other options. This just seems too good to be true though if I’m being honest. Guess I’ll find out soon.

Report back! I haven't ordered from Upstate Hemp, but I got some Berry White from Preston Hemp Company and another strain I can't remember from Eight Horses Hemp (and aside from being a little stemy), both exceeded my expectations.

 

I just need to get into the mail order game lol I hate seeing yall struggling with access. Dabs would be easier than flower I’d think but I have no idea. Edibles would be easy as shit.

 

I mean, I would pay extra for your time and kindness if you are being serious at all haha! for edibles or literally whatever. But I understand that you are likely putting yourself at risk for basically a stranger on the internet lol.

 

What liquid vape pen would y’all recommend? I don’t need anything fancy. Just something to have in case I can’t smoke around others.

Yeah there’s a cheap $15 one I buy that works great. It’ll usually crap out after a year or so but I’d rather just buy $15 ones every year or so than some stupid expensive one.

I’ve been messing around with THCa pretty much since you posted about the subreddit. That stuff I posted about ordering was solid albeit a little dry. And a common theme with THCa strains is that they need to sometimes be cured longer or just need to have some kind of humidity pack with the bud to achieve the correct moistness.

I’ve tried a few other vendors since then and I just got 2 ounces of a variety of different strains for a reasonable price. And it’s all pretty solid, and honestly better than anything else I have access to, so thanks a bunch for putting me on.

there’s a weird head achey feeling that comes with the come down with pretty much all of these THCa strains, I will say. The actual high itself is awesome though and the comedown/headachey feeling is pretty negligible, and worth it for the high it produces. I call it a headachey feeling for lack of a better descriptor but it’s really just a little lightheadedness/dizziness. All in all, worth the money, worth buying THCa strains over all my other plugs.

Any suggestions on particular vendors/strains you've liked?

 

I’ve ordered from Arete, Preston Hemp Company, WNC, and Upstate and they all seem like the most reputable vendors as far as what that subreddits talks about. Upstate seems to be the most hyped but they’re like always sold out. Specific strains are a little tougher to narrow down but everything I’ve tried has been great. Slurple from Preston Hemp Company is like all anyone was talking about on the subreddit for weeks lol, was definitely really nice. but they’re sold out of the indoor varietal right now and only have the greenhouse version. I’ve only been sticking with indoor so unsure on any of the greenhouse stuff. But I would say you’d be happy with any of the indoor, high THCa stuff from pretty much any of those vendors.

Granddaddy Purp, Gorilla Glue, and Blueberry Pheno #2 all seem to be super popular options on WNC/Arete (same supplier for both vendors from what I’ve read)

 

Just applied for Creative Project Manager roles with Cresco and Green Thumb today. Would be wild to get one ha.

Hey is 100mg a lot? I asked the girl as the dispensary what she recommends for someone with a high tolerance and she told me to eat an entire bag of 100mg total to get zooted lol

edibles are entirely subjective. 100mg is 1/2 my normal dose right now. 100mg would kill my friends though. One of them never smokes but will eat about 25mg to feel good. One of them smokes about as much as I do but 5mg puts him down.

The real recommendation is to start at 5mg and wait 24 hours. If you don’t feel anything try 10mg the next time and slowly increase your dose by 5-10mg until you notice an effect.

If someone asked me for a recommendation for high tolerance I would suggest 25mg tops at first.

 

Haha fair enough! I'm not too worried about it, I've downed bags of gummies in the past and felt nothing. I'm a little more than halfway through and just feel mellow and relaxed. I'm taking a break now though to be safe. Fingers crossed!
