The end of the Love Is Blind reunion is fascinating

 

I’m shocked with myself how much mental energy I’ve put into dissecting a small comment about an orange lol

My conclusion is that she was already an insecure person, and her insecurity was irreversibly elevated by his ignorant comments about her looks. From that point forward everything he said she was looking for some double meaning, and he was oblivious to the power his comments we’re having on her.
On the other hand, there were plenty of moments where she would be unnecessarily harsh on him, and when he’d call her out she refused to admit being wrong. They were just clearly incompatible from the start lol

 

The whole love is blind reunion ep was a dumpster fire. Honestly the last thing most of those people needed was to be married and I have a feeling the ones that did tie the knot will end up like the season 2 couples and not last more than a year together. The whole clementine clip at the end just made the Cole/Zanab situation seem even more like a case of two people who are just completely incompatible with each other.

 

Need to catch up on this season of Love is Blind, only 2-3 episodes in. Spoiler tags are appreciated!

As for the couples that did get married I think it is obvious that Matt has serious anger issues and I always got a toxic vibe from him. The fact that they've been married for like 6 months now and don't live together is such a red flag.

 

Yeah we're maybe 5 episodes in and it's bad

 

I thought it was wild how everyone completely let Matt’s behavior off the hook. Colleen’s body language throughout the whole reunion was legitimately concerning. Everyone tearing Cole apart who looks believably confused and crushed, meanwhile Colleen looks afraid for her life the whole time

 

More love is blind talk:

Ok I get that what she said to Cole at the altar was kind of mean and blindsided him but he SO deserved it. It’s one of the most satisfying reality tv moments I’ve seen in forever. I don’t blame her friends for clapping one bit. I hope he was being honest when he said he hated watching himself and that he really does learn from this.

 

I was totally on the side of Zanab up until the final orange scene. I definitely think Cole was out of line with some of the things he said and did, and was pretty happy about Zanab's speech at the altar, but I think the orange thing (in and of itself) was kind overblown. I didn't read it as him telling her to eat less, but more of not wanting her to spoil her appetite for the dinner they were about to go eat. Also, I think Bartise kind of got off too easy (especially in comparison to how hard they were coming for Cole)

 

Absolutely with Bartise, considering he did the exact same thing as Cole at that pool party and was trying to hit on Raven. And constantly told Nancy that she wasn't the most attractive woman from the pods.
I honestly cant believe any of the couples went through with the weddings, they all seemed like disasters from the second they went to Malibu.
The one thing we can all agree on is that Andrew applying fake tears for his exit interview was the most honest scene I've ever seen on a reality tv show.

 

I’m way behind and just started season 2 yesterday and almost fell off my couch when Shaina told Kyle in the pods that she doesn’t believe in evolution. I was nowhere near ready for that

 

It actually blows my mind how many super religious people this show has every season

This live streaming stuff is so weird. Disney plus is doing dancing with the stars live on the app now and act like they’ve invented a whole new medium. Literally a snake eating it’s own tail at this point

 

cole and zanab is such a lose-lose relationship. cole is a shitty person who shouldn't be with anyone but zanab is completely unreasonable multiple times an episode. every time cole would be a shithead and i'd feel bad for zanab, she'd do something five minutes later and cole would actually seem reasonable for once, and then he'd ask her if she was bipolar and i'd go back to hating him and feeling bad for her. rinse wash repeat. insufferable people.

 

I was gonna start Cabinet of Curiosities to keep spoopy season going buuut I was ordering something on Amazon (cue "Jeffrey Bezos" in Bo Burnham tune) and got a free 30 day trial of Prime--again--which meanssss I can watch Rings of Power. I watched the first ep and holy shit you guys weren't kidding this show is amazing.

Speaking of amazing shows, I paused watching Andor after ep 6 so I could binge the rest three at a time but I lost track and now I think I'll just wait until it's all out

 

I kinda felt like Zanab was made out to be worse than she actually was. Yes, she was passive aggressive and kinda bitchy to Cole, but he lived/acted like a child. I think they were a terrible couple, but I'd put it at least 75% on Cole, tbh.

That being said, I think they kinda went overboard with how hard they went after Cole in comparison.
