This always happened (at least since the late 90s), but it happens more now. I think it comes down to the type of rapper really. Not all rappers are trained at rapping live when they make it (fewer than used to be the case) so they just kinda don’t. Also “studio rappers” used to have to perform less than they do these days.

I honestly tend to prefer that rappers rap alongside their vocal track because tons of rappers mumble like hell live and you can’t make anything out.

Well, those are bad live rappers. Honestly, I wish bad live rappers just wouldn’t rap live, vocal track or no lol I understand why they have to, but I wish they wouldn’t have to

Haha I'm not like a massive Strung Out fan so I don't know the consensus or anything. I do love Blackhawks but Twisted is a top ten album overall for me. Matchbook is arguably my favorite closer by anyone

Honestly I remember it getting a pretty good reception upon release then when LP3 was announced all of a sudden people hated 2

I think 1 is the only worthwhile one. The stuff that he's doing with Lies is great, as was the last Owen album.

Mitski has never done it for me. But I was at an open mic night at my high school and one of the kids covered a Mitski song and I liked it, I just don't know what it was.

    EDIT:
    First Love/Late Spring i guess

Laurel Hell is good but unfortunately the worst thing she’s done since BMAMC, which I still think is her best album

I like everything she’s done but it’s starting to be apparent that she only had one “Your Best American Girl” in her
