When did Clinton even look smug? Feel like that claim/feeling is rooted in sexism.

people advocate for the abdication of tax responsibilities all the time under the pretense that because loopholes exist, it is rational for any person or company to avoid them as much as possible. happens in this thread sometimes, even.

I've never seen anyone advocate for the abdication of tax responsibility, but the exact opposite: pay what you owe in taxes. I'd like to know what Trump owed in taxes, what he paid, if he did any of it illegally (given his foundation, that's definitely in play), and where his debts and assets currently are stacked up. This, for one reason because of his unwillingness to put his assets in a blind trust, are things I think voters should know. I'd also like to know how his proposed tax plan will personally impact him and learn things like how charitable he is as well. I expect his effective tax rate to be very low. I am curious how low when we can compare that to his making comments about others not paying income tax. If he's not paying income tax, I'd like to discuss the charge he makes against others that aren't making enough money to pay an income tax and what he really thinks "fair share" means and what his tax plan is actually going to be able to accomplish.

Tax evasion or fraud is another charge altogether. It's illegal.
