Yeah the battery has been ridiculously good over here. Even with AOD.

 

I do have AOD off but I’ve had very good battery performance so far. I only got mine after 16.1 was released so I can’t compare to before

 

My 14 Pro Max has been rock solid.

 

I work at a Best Buy and since they came out with the new iPad Pro 11", we took the old one off display. Now, its a demo sku, pretty sure it sthe M1, but it is a fully functional unit that can be sold just like a normal SKU. Its in great condition and priced as $379 open box. I have an older 10.5 Pro with home button that is technically fine. Chugs when editing video. BUt I mainly use it for YouTube. Maybe time to upgrade. I'm close to pulling the trigger..............

 

an m1 anything for 379 is a steal.

 

Yeah buy that and don’t look back - just make sure the demo software and locks have been removed

Yeah it’s so cheap too for an iPad - it’s like $129 for two years or $6 a month

 

Since it’s a demo sku I won’t be able to get AC for it. In store at least. Possibly if I go to apple(?). When I bought my last iPad(a demo) it wouldn’t allow it. Worked out fine then.

 

I thought open box at Best Buy still qualified for apple care, or gsp which wouldn’t apply to an apple product

 

Demo skus can be different. The SN for the device won't allow for AC since its a demo sku. Usually demo skus only happen with Apple products that we can resell. Other demo skus of whatever manufacturer mostly get processed differently. That's how i've came across it in the past. Yes, open box normal items totally allow for AC or GSP.

I oddly lied earlier. I didn't already remove the demo software.... I was going to do that today. Well, I tried by just putting it in restore mode and hard restoring by connecting it to our Mac Mini software (Apple Config) and now its "bricked"(for now) with a lock logo on it "property of apple authorized reseller" lmao. I've got to look tomorrow at how to set it back up correctly. I think I'll need to go to the Apple Demo unit website to unlock it with the SN. Oof.

 

Anybody else having problems downloading music to their Apple Watch with the most recent WatchOS 9.0? It gets stuck on “your music will download soon” and never does. It’s also weird and not showing all of my downloaded music anymore in the Watch app on my phone, for example it’s only showing one downloaded album:


But on both settings->about-> on my watch and watch app on my phone it shows all my downloaded songs (which I can also see in the music app on the watch)




You can see I have plenty of storage available too. It’s an Apple Watch 6 on 9.1 and my phone is a 13 Pro on iOS 16

I’m hoping I don’t have to go the nuclear option and factory reset

 

Update your phone to 16.1

 

And then update it to 16.1.1

 

Hey what do you know this worked! I didn't even know there was an update, I have automatic updates on and never got anything.

are places recognizing/accepting digital ID? like, will an airport recognize my digital ID instead of physical? feels like until its more widely practiced its going to cause more issues than it attempts to solve. like apple pay in the beginning, i never ever used it because no store employees ever knew what to do when i took my phone or watch out lol

 

Saw this in a macrumors article yesterday:

“The Department of Revenue says that the Wallet ID is designed to be a companion to the physical driver's license or ID, and it is not a replacement. Coloradans must continue to carry their physical driver license or ID with them, and the Wallet ID can only be used at airports.”

Sounds pretty useless lol
