I usually wear reds and I'm branching into darker colors for fall. Those look fantastic. I just want my paycheck to post first

I saw pics of the bigger one coming out for the holidays and I actually like this smaller set more (which is great for my wallet). The bigger one has more nudes and such than bold shades and I don't really wear nudes (plus it has glosses....I hate glosses)

Yeah I've gotten a few of those holiday lip sets and I usually take the ones I want and give away the glosses in gifts lol

Why the hell do I have the urge to buy a green lipstick!?!?! I probably won't ever even wear it. It will prob look super ugly on me. But I still really want it...Why????

So I ordered that kit today.

Then Kroger was having a beauty even to buy one get one half off. So now my lipstick drawer is overflowing again.

Also, Revlon Moisturestain? Pass on it. Patchy and it feels SO GROSS. Might work as a gloss, but I might actually return it. So nasty.

Bold lip set was delivered today. I could do without the Tarte purple (but holy shit that formula and wand combo is GLORIOUS. I need it), but the rest are A+. The KVD one seemed to go on a bit patchy, but I'm not sure if that's because of the balm I had on. I felt like a badass goth punk bitch with it on, though. I need to figure out a good makeup look for it because I need it in my life.

And now my lip drawer won't close again lolol

The KVD was patchy on me, too but I love the color so much that I don't mind having to mess with it a bit. I'm gonna try it again tonight and try applying thin layers and see if that works.

That's what I tried. I tend to do that with any liquid lipstick, otherwise they peel and go funky. The bigger problem I had with the KVD one is that it was tough to apply on the edges. I'll have to use a pencil with it or something. It's so easy to show mistakes with something that dark D:

So applying the KVD in thin layers worked really well and it lasted all night so I was very happy! That stuff does not want to come off. I had to bust out the makeup remover I use for my eye makeup to get it off.

I'll have to give that another shot, then! I'm wearing the Laura Mercier one today and it's wearing well, even though I'm drinking a coffee. It's coming off on the cup, but the color is still rich, so that's a win!

So I'm thinking through the makeup/nails I want for the wedding I'm going to this weekend. Decided on the black dress. Not sure if I want my nails to match my lips, though. Or do I want to do something nude on my nails with the bold lip?

    OCCASIONS ARE HAAAAARD

I might have found a way around the no unnatural hair color at work.

Yuppppp! I feel the same. I really want to dye mine purple but I am broke so I'll just sit here with my boring brown hair :tear:

I don't find having crazy hair to be that expensive....being blonde was more expensive lol

Right now my hair is black on the top and then ombres into Teal at the bottom... I had it done professionally at first- including a first round of bleaching- and after I wasn't happy with the black so I went to Sallys and got some and redid it myself. I was pleased with the result. Then, my hairdresser had given me the remains of the green dye she used so that I could mix it with my conditioner and refresh. However I never did that so I just recently redid my hair with more black and the remaining green. It turned out great. I made it last 3 and a half months before refreshing with a combination of cold water and stretching time between washing.
Anyway as far as crazy colors go my advice is to get it bleached professionally but then do the actual color yourself. It's not hard and difficult to screw up (because most if not all colors don't have developer so it doesn't damage your hair). Then refreshing from that point is easy.
Having the top of my hair be black was a blessing too because I can just deposit the black on top of my blonde roots and not have to worry about lightening them and then trying to match the rest of the teal.

phew there's that novel no one asked for.

I love your hair (and I'm jealous of your pic with Ryan). It's so pretty. Blonde is a straight up bitch. My hair grows so fast that my roots needed a touch up like every 2 weeks.

Thank you so much! I was wondering if you knew that was me LOL. Blonde was a bitch for me even though I'm naturally (dirty) blonde!
I will say that having light roots with dark dyed hair is backward than most people have so it is just so different. It's not an obvious stark thing like when you have dark roots, but the light actually makes it look like I'm balding a little bit, or have grey hair lol. It just ends up looking meh or not great. not necessarily bad but when it's freshly black, I feel like it looks amazing.
