Same here, they’ve leaned too far into a sound I don’t really care for. Peripheral Vision and Good Nature are top tier.

Give the full album a try! It’s fantastic display of songwriting and musicianship!

Unfortunately not feeling this much at all, it's so incredibly boring. Hope after a few more listens I find something to like in this.

This album is background noise at a truck-stop somewhere in the middle of Nebraska.

Yeah, this album is largely just good background music.

WE WANT PERIPHERAL VISION PART II.

We reach for the longest shadow

I'm on Wait Too Long, and haven't heard anything new yet, but a little bummed at how low energy Tears of Change is for a proper opening song. They've come out of the gate with bangers on every other album. Bassist continues to be the highlight of this so far though, same as the last album.

Release My Mind, My Garden Grows

I kinda like some of the songs, maybe 5/10 of the actual songs, but still not something I ever see myself returning to on a regular basis. Overall I was just pretty bored listening through most of this.

This will be a new night drive album for sure.

I don't know y'all I'm liking it. If you've been paying attention to the types of bands, they've been touring with for the last like 4 years this isn't a surprise. Upon first listen I like this more than I liked Altogether, which took forever to grow on me.

Also, if you're still holding your breath for PV II, I have some magic beans I'd like to sell you. Might as well be asking for Deafheaven to be metal again.

I really like this, I mean I get why not everyone does but it works for me. Last night Pleasures Galore really stuck out, and so far today People That We Know was a highlight.

    Got a light?

First listen was kinda hard to get through, and I was a fan of the last couple albums too. Rollout was not good for this so I can’t say I was hyped, I’ll give it another shot but this might be the first album of theirs I have to pass on

In a follow up to earlier statement, I totally understand that the genre change isn't everyone's cup of tea, just didn't know why people were so surprised by the new sound.

    -still hits though-

Check out Anymore by Gleemer. I first heard it as a "If you miss PV Turnover rec" and it hits pretty similar.

One of the most painful listens for me in recent memory. Absolute boring dirge of meandering twangs and background jazz elevator music, I had to force myself through it. Band is definitely not for me anymore and I enjoyed every other album

Why does every synth tone on this entire record sound like it’s coming from a fisher price keyboard
