Back in the hotel room! Fun day, very reminiscent of running routes at Warped every summer. Here’s what my day was:

    The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
    Hawthorne Heights
    Mayday Parade
    Bous Like Girls
    3OH!3
    Pierce The Veil
    The Used (partial)
    Neck Deep (partial)
    PVRIS (partial)
    Jimmy Eat World
    Taking Back Sunday
    A Day To Remember (partial)
    The All-American Rejects
    Bright Eyes (partial)
    Bring Me The Horizon
    Paramore
    My Chemical Romance

Had a pretty great day. The first half of the day was a dream, so easy to get up close for anyone you wanted to. From around 5pm onward though at the main stages, not so much. Very packed as per usual at a festival . And the VIP size remained infuriating.

The line for the “GA Pit” was a few hours long by later in the day but walked right in for underoath in the morning.

It was easier for me to get front row for wonder years than it was for a club show a few weeks ago haha.

Sound was also really weird from the main stages depending where you were standing; all low end.

In terms of festival setup aside from that, it was super fast and easy to get food, spaces to sit on the fake grass in the shade, water, bathrooms etc were all good.

Adam Lazara and spencer chamberlain excitedly watching glassjaw’s set together was a perfect scene moment

What a day. Did not end up getting VIP.

Got there at 10, got in at 10:55 and went straight for band merch. Even being one of the first few thousand in the merch line was 40 mins.

Jumpsuit and Hawthorne Heights had major sound issues, the bass was absurdly loud.

Went to GA Pit for Underoath and Mayday Parade, both were great. Walked to Starting Line after who were fine.

Rest of the day is a sunny blur but was in GA Pit from TBS onward.

    Best sets of the day:
Senses Fail - surprising because everytime I see them I walk away not impressed but man, Buddy brought ENERGY
Knocked Loose - nothing else to say
    Paramore - sounded absolutely lovely

    Worst Sets:
    TBS - lol
    Hawthorne, Jumpsuit - sound issues

Will say the crowd was half dead for My Chem, everyone was more than exhausted by the time they came on.

damn how long did you wait to get in GA later in the day ?

  8. I heard death cab got booed by a bunch of people, is that real or was the person I know just standing in a shitty area?

TBS was rough as usual and was especially noticeable after a super tight Jimmy Eat World set. Adam sang the same verse twice for “Cute Without the E” and had to apologize after. Not the best place to mess that one up lol.

All-American Rejects’ set was packed since Avril wasn’t there to overlap their time slot this weekend. Huge crowd for a non-mainstage act and my worst VIP stage viewing of the day.

I went to Knocked Loose and ran over right as JEW was starting and the line was about a mile long. My friends were in line for 45 mins and I just snuck in to chat with them and ended up getting in 25 mins later.

People that went, would you go again? Same lineup, same circumstances, was it worth it? And based on your experience, would you go next year?

I'm sorry this sounds like a Live Nation survey lmao

Also I just realized there's about 50 bands on the 2023 lineup, compared to this year, which had 64. I looked at the schedule and there's 14-15 bands playing the tent, so maybe the idea is to get rid of the tent next year?

Ditto. If you plan your day out and suck it up that you’ll miss some bands you love, it’s a great time. No issues all day regarding bathrooms, food and drink, viewing the stages on my end. I skipped out on time wasters such as merch or camping in front just to be close for headliners. Was able to squeeze 11 full sets and 5 partials in. Would have gone a second day if possible!

The thing about merch is you just know they're going to put up leftovers online when the fest is done, so is there really an issue?

100%. I lucked out with very little set conflicts and enjoyed all the sets i saw. I wish i tried GA pit out later in the day but that may have screwed up timing so probably for the best.

Counting down the days till next year, tho ill plan a vacation in between to distract me and im sure this high will die down and ill get excited about other things.

All in all, had an amazing time in Vegas too. Good food, great luck at the tables, good catch up with old friends and made a few new ones.
