Just hit play on My Best Friend’s Exorcism.

 

Barbarian, like so many others in the genre, has great cinematography and tension building, only to have it all come crashing down in the third act.

I actually died laughing when she dives off the water tower.

 

Pearl was fucking great.

 

I just finished Pearl. Liked X more, but Pearl was still very good

 

Resurrection is officially out on Shudder. Highly recommended. One of my favorites of the year, with another great Rebecca Hall performance.

 

Okay finally watched Happy Death Day and it was great. I'll watch part 2 now.

Barbarian suffered only compared to the movie I had in my head, which sucks because I usually do not do that. It'll take me a little to fully appreciate it. Was expecting it to be more even more crazy and twisting while continually ratcheting up the tension based on everyone's reactions. Didn't expect it to keep breaking the tension by changing days and perspectives and taking you outside of the house. Still really enjoyed it, just mad that my expectations got in the way more than I usually let them.

just because you didn’t enjoy it doesn’t mean it should be ruined for others

 

Barbarian was absolutely wild. Loved it.

 

Just watched Emelie. Thought it was good. Very unsettling. Parents should definitely not watch it.

 

Gonna finally watch Barbarian tonight. Still have no clue what it’s about.

Pearl was fine. I feel roughly the same about it as I did with X. Mia Goth deserves some kind of award though. She was great.

 

Never mind got roped into a stupid ass work call and now I’m not in the mood.

Eh, Fuck it. I’m gonna watch it. I hate being on call on the weekends. It just enables the worst of humanity into thinking the world does revolve around them. But I assure you nothing, NOTHING, people call about is urgent. Every single call can wait until Monday.
