    Maybe so, maybe not.

Had to give this one a spin ahead of getting a Bullets-era calf tattoo on Sunday:

Anyone have any insight into why my amplifier shuts off (recovery mode?) after a certain volume? Didn’t always do this but started after a move. My LP120 runs into an old onkyo receiver/pre-amp which runs into a new Sony amplifier into 2 passive speakers. I’ve tried re-plugging things in and haven’t had any success

They went through and cancelled duplicate orders and such. They're gonna sell those copies at 9:00 PM EST tonight. Good luck!

This is a shot in the dark as your set up sounds more complex than anything I’ve ever had but could it be something with the settings of the source volume that the amp is receiving? Like, is there anywhere to adjust the strength that the source comes in at to the amp? I know on my old Denon receiver I could adjust the source levels so that if my turntable(source 1) or a Bluetooth connected device (source 2) was sending in a weak signal the receiver would automatically boost it to a certain level.

my thinking is maybe the amp is getting too weak of a signal from your source & therefore shutting off. Again, I could be WAY off

The only thing Chad Gilbert should take is a one way flight to Neptune :)

Just got in the mail a 1/5 test pressing of fear before the March of flames demo with Friday the 13th inspired artwork. 5 individual covers and I got the best looking one I think.

Also, I asked this in the Q&A thread months ago and did get an answer, but I didn’t bookmark it or anything and consider it lost to time.

it’s time for me to finally get a record player. What do you all recommend? I have a sound system I can connect to via rca or Bluetooth, so I just need a stand alone player. I’m gonna finally get one for Christmas this year now that I’ve doubled my vinyl collection in the past 4 months.

You’ve been buying all of this and you don’t have a record player?!

It’s art to me even without listening to them. So, yea. But less sass, more recs.

thanks to the couple who have made a rec. I’m keeping track of the recs this time.

I'll always recommend the U-Turn Orbit. Orbit Turntables

I went with a custom version (green) with a cue lever and built-in pre-amp. I got the powered speakers separately.

I’m just surprised! But definitely get a record player, they’re even more fun when you listen to them.

I say this all the time but I buy vinyl pretty regularly but rarely ever listen. I own more than 150 records, a good portion are still in the plastic packaging, the vast majority of ones that I’ve listened to, I’ve listened to only once. I maybe use my record player a total of 8-10 times a year.

I realize that is weird, but I more so collect just to…collect. I wish I would listen more but I just always have something else going on or something to watch on TV.

Yeah, I guess that’s just wild to me. It’s such an expensive hobby…I can’t imagine going through it all if I didn’t regularly play my vinyl.

I've been doing my shopping online the last few years. Today was the first time I stepped foot in an indie record store in 2 years and I bought nothing!

Also I was taking my wife out for her belated birthday dinner and we were walking around downtown Toronto a couple of hours beforehand. She knew I was itching to go in a store but I didn't want to make it about that.
